When we refurbish a computer, we generally do the following:
- Completely strip the fixed disk drive of all files.*
- Physically clean the interior and exterior of the computer.
- Test the functionality of the system board, memory, fixed disk drive, floppy
drive, processor, video adapter, and power supply.
- Reinstall the operating system and applications included in the computer's
system disks.*
- Test the functionality of the optical drive, network interface, modem, and /
or any other components included in the system.
- Download and install all updates to Windows and any applications.
- Verify system functionality.
* Note: Sometimes the previously owned computers we receive are missing disks
to reinstall the operating system and / or applications. In this case the computer
is not completely stripped but only files created by previous users are removed. |
